About Shubhda – A Helping Hand

Shubhda is a non-profit organisation based in Ajmer, Rajasthan, dedicated to supporting children with special needs through education, therapy, life-skill training and emotional care. Our work is rooted in a simple belief: every child, regardless of disability, deserves dignity, opportunity and a nurturing environment where their abilities can grow without fear or limitations.

For many families, the journey of raising a child with special needs begins with uncertainty. There is confusion about what the child needs, worry about the future, and a constant search for genuine support. Shubhda stands with these families from the very beginning. Whether it is early identification, personalised training, rehabilitation or ongoing development, our team of trained special educators, therapists and healthcare professionals works closely with each child, ensuring they receive the attention, patience and guidance they truly deserve.

Our children come from different backgrounds and have different challenges, including intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, slow learning and multiple disabilities. But at Shubhda, no child is defined by their diagnosis. Each child is encouraged to explore their strengths, express themselves freely and grow at their own pace. Learning here is not limited to classrooms. Children learn through music, art, physical activities, digital tools and everyday life skills that help them become more independent and confident.

One of the most meaningful parts of our work is creating opportunities for children to participate in school events, cultural programs, public performances and district-level activities. Every time a child steps on a stage, completes a new task or interacts with confidence, it becomes a moment of celebration for both the child and the family. These small but powerful achievements remind us why inclusive care and consistent support matter so deeply.

Shubhda has gradually become a safe and trusted space for parents, where they feel understood rather than judged, and where their children are accepted exactly as they are. Over the years, we have witnessed countless transformations: children who once struggled to speak now communicate beautifully; children who found it difficult to socialise now lead activities with enthusiasm; children who felt isolated now discover skills that help them dream of a more independent future.

Our vision is to create a society where children with special needs are not hidden or underestimated, but supported, included and celebrated. At Shubhda, every child is valued. Every family is welcomed. And every journey, no matter how slow or challenging, is treated with respect and hope.
